The award winning Holdfast Wall Tie was invented and patented by wall tie installer Brian Tellum in conjunction with The Welding Institute and Sunderland University.
With over 20 years experience in the business. Brian knew there needed to be a safer, more efficient and more effective way of installing wall ties and, after more than 7 years developing his idea, was able to launch his new concept, The Holdfast Wall Tie.
Now, with our 10 year pull tests complete, we have launched the product for general sale.
What is it?
The Holdfast wall-tie is the World’s First hammer fix, dual expansion remedial wall-tie. This innovative device fixes both walls of a cavity construction simultaneously in a simple 3-step operation.
Manufactured from a glass reinforced engineering polymer material the Holdfast Wall Ties have a life expectancy of around 100 years.
No additional materials are required for installation. So, no resins, no waiting around, less need for ladders and scaffolding. While traditional methods mean it can take up to 20 hours to install wall ties in an average sized house, with Holdfast, the time taken can be as little as 2 – 3 hours.
